Red lips - that was the first thing i saw... before i focused on the feather I really saw a pair of red lips - really neat image.
You could maybe consider cropping bottom and right to emphasise the 'lips idea' or from top and left to emphasise the curve of the feather stem... ie leaving more space to one side or the other to imply a 'flow' in the composition... just an option.
Interesting shapes created by the feather - looks like tiny electrical discharges..

I got to agree with Traff, the first thing I saw were RedLips! It looks like the feather is transforming into Lips. I like the colors, but I also think the compo could be improved!
